This channel aims to educate consumers about weaknesses and defects in security devices so they can make better security decisions. It should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway: do not use any of the information presented in my videos for illegal purposes.
My mailing information is below. Do NOT send anything you want back unless I’ve agreed in advance to do so.

Please note that I do not recommend locks, nor do I provide assistance in opening them. For advice getting started in locksport, I recommend the “University” at LockLab.com. For all other inquiries, email me (channel name at gmail). One final note - I usually receive over one hundred emails each day, and though I spend a couple hours a day answering emails, I can’t answer them all. couldn't you simply deliberately strip the screw on top to prevent an attack like this? this attack hinges on being able to get access to the insides and it seems to me that removing the ability to remove that screw would make this far more secure.

Disconnecting both brakes is generally a good idea. Or if your adjusting screws are set in a middle position get them back at zero so the brakes won't work. And I have a friend who takes his seat with him. Not many thieves are willing to push a bike, they would rather opt for one they can ride away on.

just by changing the way it's mounted this thing can be much safer. if there were holes in the bottom part (where you insert the long metal strip) and it's bolted down to a desk. then that opening is obstructed. but the one you have must be suffering from a manufacturing default.

LPL might know this but I tell to the watchers who are interested. That disc lock was invented by Finnish mechanic Emil Henriksson in 1907. Abloy was founded in 1918 and it's name is a genius abbreviation from "Ab Låsfabriken-Lukkotehdas Oy" which means Ltd Lockfactory (Swedish) - Lockfactory Ltd (Finnish), as Swedish and Finnish are both official languages in Finland.

Sohcahtoa82 - Vor 3 Stunden
Even if this safe *didn't* have a button you could hit with a shim, it's still insecure as long as it reads fingerprints. For the love of god, I really wish the world would stop thinking fingerprint readers are secure. They are all trivial to break into with a piece of tape and some flour. Think about it...if your fingerprint is your password, then not only is your password unchangeable, but you leave your password behind on EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH. It is extremely easy to lift your print off of something (especially smooth surfaces like glass) and use it to fool a fingerprint scanner. Fingerprint readers should be considered a convenience feature at most, NEVER a security feature!

The entire purpose of the product is to prevent children from accessing a firearm. If you want to prevent teens and adults from accessing them, you get a safe with a good combo lock and is bolted to the floor. This is essentially like saying that a luggage lock won't keep you from stealing a bulldozer.
